Race Rock Oysters
Race Rock Oysters are premium, boutique oysters sustainably raised by the Mastrangelo family in the pristine waters of Orient, New York. Known for their distinct North Fork terroir, these oysters offer a signature balance of high salinity followed by a sweet, buttery finish. Because they are harvested from the cold, nutrient-rich currents near the Peconic Bay, they are a favorite among top-tier NYC chefs for their clean flavor and consistent quality.
The Mastrangelo family’s operation is quite significant, with over 10 million oysters currently thriving in their waters at any given time. They focus on a sustainable “seed-to-market” process, carefully nurturing these bivalves from tiny seeds until they reach the ideal size and flavor for the table.Because of their consistent quality and clean, briny profile, Race Rock oysters are featured at some of the most prestigious dining destinations are Le Bernardin, Maison Premiere and North Fork Table and Inn.
The identity features an illustration by Holly Mastrangelo (wife of the founder) on a watercolor. All identity pieces feature thick woven card stock. Syron Design worked with Race Rock on all identity pieces (stationary, business cards, signage, tasting cards, truck wraps, website, Instagram, Facebook) until they were purchased by Oysterponds Shellfish.
