A Threat to Justice
It is widely believed that many of our anti-drug laws have racially disfavored African Americans and low-income communities. While recent bipartisan legislation begins to reform some of the sentencing laws that have wrongly and disproportionately harmed African-Americans — “A Threat to Justice” a poster for the Nebraska Appleseed’s AnnualArt + Justice Poster Exhibition. The design is a call to action, a reminder, and a rally for America to remember Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’swords, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
Nebraska Appleseed hosts an annual Art + Justice curated poster exhibition. Social justice posters are commissioned from across the state and sold as a fundraiser.
Created for the Art + Justice curated poster exhibition and fundraiser, each screen-printed poster was produced in a limited edition of just 35 prints, making every piece a rare collectible. Printed on premium French Paper, all proceeds benefited Nebraska Appleseed, a nonprofit dedicated to building strong, inclusive, and engaged communities through legal advocacy, grassroots organizing, and social justice initiatives focused on issues including child welfare, immigration policy, affordable healthcare, racial equity, and poverty.
