Research, Evaluation & Analysis for Community Health
While heading up the creative work at the REACH Lab I had the opportunity to work with many scientists with the goal of translating and disseminating research to make a greater social impact.
Injection Risk Networks in Puerto Rico
This project kicked off with a series of documentaries of the ethnographers who were going to live and research in Puerto Rico. These videos were distributed in the U.S. and eventually picked up buy a Chicago based news channel who brought national attention to the project.
Portraits of Addiction
This project aimed to use photo storytelling to not only tell the story of drug addiction through the eyes of injection drug users but also tell the story of ongoing, cutting-edge research into the rural epidemic. By using storytelling as the medium for dissemination of research findings, this project aimed to show how design thinking can contribute to greater success and impact in academic research.
